To Have and to Hold
Happy First Anniversary! August 7th, 2009 I became Mrs. Moore. It was beautiful.
One year later my thoughts on married life are as follows:
1. Cuddling is still the best thing ever.
2. Having a partner to cook and clean makes life so much easier, even though it doesn't happen ALL the time.
3. My husband is a patient man. Very patient.
4. Everyone keeps saying that marriage is tough. In our reality, dating was the tough part. Marriage is a relief from all the turmoil of our dating years.
5. Sharing dreams with someone is so much grander than dreaming on your own.
6. All the songs are right, you can't say I love you enough.
7. We skipped the "honeymoon" phase and dived right into married with children. Sometimes I wish we could travel, drink and dance the night away, run around naked and leave responsibilities at the door. But then I see my husband holding my dear, sweet daughters and all of those feeling fade away. We can save that for later in life.
8. I still can't figure out how to get him to clean the bathroom once a week.
9. I have never missed somebody so much during an eight hour work day. I feel like a puppy dog waiting for him at the door with eager kisses and hugs.
10. Finding your Mr./Mrs. Right is NOT easy. But it is so worth the time searching, testing, waiting, wanting, hoping, failing, falling, and finding.
Here's to you Mr. Right, Mr. Moore, the love of my life. Here's to many Moore anniversaries. Here's to us.
